Условным центром Новой Мацесты можно назвать небольшую площадь, где находятся сочинский океанариум (одна из достопримечательностей микрорайона), несколько торговых киосков, кафе, остановка общественного транспорта, административное здание ООО БК "Мацеста".
Из центра Сочи сюда ведут две крупные трассы. Одна из них - Курортный проспект, частью которого является Мацестинский виадук, другая - автодорожный мост, который представляет собой продолжение Новой объездной дороги и проходит над микрорайоном. Поблизости находится Мацестинский лесопарк, действующий бальнеологический комплекс "Мацеста" (в микрорайоне Старая Мацеста). Микрорайон зеленый и экологически благополучный. Транспорт:-железнодорожная станция расположена прямо около берега моря на правом берегу реки Мацесты. Электрички в Сочи и Адлер в среднем каждый час. Дальние поезда не останавливаются. Автобусы:-120,121,43,3.
